When I first got out of college, I was without a job and did not know what I was going to do.  It seemed as though there weren’t very many options available to me even though I had a college degree.  This was something that was very frustrating to me, as I had just spent a whole lot of money on my education only to struggle to find work.  Then a friend of mine suggested that I become a notary in Illinois.  I knew nothing about this at first, and so I decided that I would look into it a little bit further.  As it turns out, notary publics do make a somewhat respectable wage.  However, the wage is not the only benefit to the job.  Some of the other benefits include the fact that I would be mostly in control of my hours, and that having this experience would definitely help me to find better work in the future.

become a notary in Illinois

The only downside to trying to become a notary in the state of Illinois was the fact that I would have to pay a fee in order to get a license.  Still, this fee is far less than it costs to go to school, so I kind of wished I had thought about it prior to actually going to college.  I decided to apply to be a notary.  I paid the fee and got my license.  I have now been working as a notary for a few years now, and while the pay is not great, it is a job that I do not mind at all.

I am still hoping that my experience will pay off and I will be able to earn a better salary in the future, but this is definitely a good start for me.
